  1. This is a very good "commercial" for Storybird. You really did a great job capturing the essence of what the site is about in only a minute!

  2. Stacie you have a gift and sold me! you could definitely do a late night informercial. My only questions is does this work for any grade level? It look like a great idea for elementary.

  3. Thanks to both of you! Stacey, I currently am using Storybird with my middle school students, and they love it. Short stories or picture books are a great way to teach theme, mood, setting, literary devices and creative writing in a very feasible way that doesn't monopolize my classroom time for months on end. Many of my students have already completed their first books to share and we've discussed how repetition in writing can reinforce the theme of their books. It's been really fun and my students are begging me for time on Storybird everyday in class.

  4. Stacie~
I told you it would be awesome!! I've waited ALL day to see it because my district has something blocked so that blogger videos don't play! :( If I wasn't already "sold" on Storybird, I would be after watching your video! :)

  6. Stacie! This looks so professional! I agree that this tool helps students focus more on the content, which also allows for more creativity in their writing. Very well planned! I absolutely love it!

  7. I love storybird and have used it for a while now. Students still need to use the writing process, but have a fun and professional looking place to create their final draft. The artwork to choose from is fantastic. If I didn't love this tool already, I would be intrigued to check it out after watching your commercial.
